• Prepare Your Vehicle: Ensure your car is in good working condition. Check the battery, tire tread, and windshield wipers. Keep your gas tank at least half full to avoid gas line freeze-up.

• Slow Down: Reduce your speed to accommodate for snow, ice, and reduced visibility. Remember, it takes longer to stop on slippery roads.

• Increase Following Distance: Maintain a greater distance between your car and the vehicle in front of you. This allows more time to react to sudden stops.

• Use Your Lights: Turn on your headlights to increase your visibility to other drivers.

• Avoid Cruise Control: Using cruise control on slippery roads can be dangerous as it can cause your car to lose traction.
